GfK Rus conducted the 5th wave of the survey "Consumer behavior under the crisis" and we are pleased to offer you the annual report of this research.
The report consists of two parts:
The first part contains forecasts for 2010 on the following indicators:

Consumption habits and typology of consumers, as well as a special range of issues on Consumer Behavior during the crisis.
The standard range of issues regarding consumer behavior during the crisis includes the following questions:
- Household disposable income change (claimed) during the last 12 months (improved / became worse / remained unchanged).
- Household disposable income expectations during the next 12 months (will improve / will become worse / will remain unchanged).
- Opinion on overall economic situation in the country: consumer expectations for the next 12 months / next 5 years.
- Consumer readiness to make 'big' purchases (e.g. durables)/money savings.
- Sources of income and family budget expenses structure;
- How much time the respondents have given different types of media;
Consumer behavior during the crisis:
- What stage is the crisis in Russia in? / Has the crisis influenced a respondent's family?
- Has the prices on products/ goods decreased or increased?
- The places of purchasing of foodstuff and FMCG, clothes and footwear now and in case of worsening of the financial situation of the family;
- What are the most effective means to save personal savings?
- Categories of goods and services respondents are ready to decline in the first place / last of all / entirely in case of worsening of the financial situation of their families;
- What do respondents think of purchases on credit and which goods / services do they plan to buy on credit in the next 12 months?
- Do respondents plan to buy a car during the next 2 years (yes / no, if yes: what kind of a car)?
- What do respondents think about how long the crisis will last in Russia?
- Do respondents approve / disapprove actions on overcoming consequences of the crisis in Russia (assessment of political leaders / government / parliament)?
The survey "Consumer behavior during the crisis" is based on the All-Russian representative sample (gender, age, region, type and size of community). Sample size is 2200 interviews. It is a stratified multistage sample with random selection of respondents. Number of settlements is 160. Sample error is +/- 2.1%.
The results could be delivered in the form of Power Point Presentation slides and could be delivered in both Russian and English languages.
